Here is the message from John Bristow, "Hi Florida Past, one of the hand painted tags you have for sale is sentimental to me. It’s the “ Carl’s TV” tag. The business was my uncle Carl Bristow’s. He started the business from money my grandmother loaned him. The business started out as a small repair shop located on Johnson street, currently where the Jehovah whiteness church resides. Eventually he invested in the Radio Shack franchise and moved to , what was Millers square . Now it’s Hitchcock’s square. Uncle Carl ran the Radio Shack for several years with his wife Wanda. Eventually they sold the Franchise and retired. Both uncle Carl and Aunt Wanda have passed . I would like be to own the “ Carl’s TV” tag. How can I purchase the tag. Also I’m certain these tags were displayed in “ The Chicken Factory “ restaurant. Located off Highway 301 in Hawthorne." -

Brooksville is a city in and the county seat of Hernando County, Florida. We hold some interesting history from the Rogers Family of Brooksville. As soon as we start publishing our holdings and famed-fades, a link will be posted here. We were going to mat and frame this, but decided it best to sell like this. This Coca-Cola sign bracket once hung proudly at Six Gun Territory, Ocala, FloridaPast. Displaying a Large Coca-Cola sign below. Unfortunately when they demolished Six Gun, there was no care taken in preserving much of the items. This piece was actually slated for the scrap pile. Until someone who had Care, pulled it. And then I came along and purchased. As you can see, it's been abused, bent, rusted, lacking a curly Q or two, etc.
A Metal Worker can restore this back to it's original state. We've always kept things as found. Except maybe for washing/cleaning. |

Made of a Heavy Gauge Pressed Steel. Hasn't been used. Has the original glass rain tube, and the instruction sheet was rolled inside the tube. The aluminum gauge wheel turns freely and nicely.
From an era, when Pesticides, Insecticides and Fertilizers, were used freely, without concerns for the environment. More often than not, these were used, and when found, show the wrath of the elements. So it's Nice to have one that hasn't been used. |

Older Golden Gem Thermometer

Finding any type of Florida Citrus Advertising is tough. This thermometer is Nice. Frisbee style, Hard plastic, inset tube. U.S.A. made by Morco. The knock-out holes have Not been punched yet. Someone left a piece of tape on this for many years. And so when taken off, it left remnants and wear to the paint.
