When this Cool Moment Captured came across my monitor, I just had to create a Now & Then Fade.
Once again, Inspired by Jeff Davies' Historic Florida X Facebook Group Share. Click here to visit this Fun Thread,
and read all that's being said about the Elbo Room.

{as a foot-note regarding the now & then fade, at the time of setting it, there is/was a Google Glitch.
That corner block is all Blacked out. So I faded as close as possible until the Googlebug fixes the bug}

EARLY FLYER FOR DAVENPORT'S ORANGE PACKING HOUSE - JACKSONVILLE, FloridaPast
Hi. I was just going thru some old family pics, and found a flyer for 'Davenports Orange Packing House' that says 1919-1927. I was hoping you'd have a little bit of info on this matter. I'd like to know what happened to this company. My grandpa used to say that there was an orange packing company in the family, but it'd been sold.  It must've been 1927 when this flyer was made, or it wouldn't have had my family name, 'Davenport'. I would've called the phone #, but it's only 5 digits, 3-9212. The address is/was 436 West Adams street in Jacksonville, Florida. As far as I can tell, that corner is just a big empty lot now. I can't seem to find anything on Google pertaining to this company. I didn't see anything on your site with this company's name. Their logo was small, an orange branch with leaves surrounding 3 oranges.

Is there any way you can find out what happened to this place? Are they still open, but in a different location? What name are they using? Who of the original 8 Davenport brothers owned the Davenports Orange Packing House? When did they sell it? Why? Do you know who I can contact who may know more about this?

4106 Desert Inn Motel - Bar-Restaurant

4106 Desert Inn Motel - Bar-Restaurant
History;
The junction's  name "Yeehaw" comes from the Seminole tribe in origin and means
"wolf",  referring to wolves that inhabited the area. According to town
historians and  several original newspaper articles that are displayed at the
Desert Inn and  Restaurant National Historical site, the town was originally
named "Jackass  Junction". This name was given to the four corner site back in
the early 1930s,  when local ranchers rode on burros to visit the Desert Inn
(then the local  brothel). As the 1950s approached, the Florida legislature felt
that a name  change was due in light of the construction of Florida's Turnpike
through the  center of the community in 1957, resulting in renaming the town to
its  present-day name.[citation needed]

 [edit] Present dayToday, Yeehaw Junction is known as a major stopping point for tourists on the  Florida's Turnpike who want to purchase conditional discount tickets for
various  tourist attractions in the Orlando area. The Turnpike exit links with Florida  State Road 60, an important traffic route going from Vero Beach on the Atlantic  to Tampa and St. Petersburg, Florida on the Gulf Coast.
